Story / Description:

This original handmade oil painting marks the first piece in my series Still Life / Bodegón,  created with the goal of celebrating our memories.  A reminder to remain positive and celebrate life's daily gifts and special events. 

Every cork tells a story.  Some celebrate birthdays, weddings, travels, friendship & family, or simply an ordinary Tuesday that somehow became unforgettable.  Others quietly remind us of challenges overcome, lessons learned, second chances, and the unexpected turns that shape who we become.

This painting is my invitation to pause for a moment and celebrate ALL of life - not only the beautiful chapters, but also the difficult, awkward, messy, and wonderfully imperfect ones.  After all, they all become part of the same story.

The cork's labels are designed with words, memories, humor, and little hidden surprises.  They reflect moments from my own journey, while leaving space for you to remember yours.  My hope is that somewhere among these corks, you'll discover a memory that belongs to you.  Although our languages, traditions, and celebrations may look different, I believe we share much more than we realize.  We all celebrate love, friendship, family, dreams, gratitude, hope, and the people who make life's milestones worth remembering.

So, take your time.  Look closely.  Smile.  Maybe even laugh a bit.  Perhaps even find something you didn't notice at first.  And before you leave, I hope you'll remember one of your own cork-worthy moments.  Because life isn't measure by the bottles we open...  It's measured by the memories we choose to keep.  ...that, if you still can remember after all the open bottles! :))  

Art Features:

• The Story – Autobiographical mosaic composed of 44 painted corks, each carrying a memory, dream, milestone, place, loss, or a little piece of humor from the artist's journey.  Together, they celebrate the beautiful, complicated, and wonderfully imperfect moments that make a life worth remembering.

• The Details – Realistic labels and textures painted with hidden symbols, multilingual references, tributes, and playful visual jokes, each cork invites you for a closer inspection.  What initially appears to be a collection of corks gradually reveals itself as a visual collection of stories-some obvious, others waiting to be discovered.

• The Universal Connection – Although deeply personal, Celebrating Life reaches beyond the artist's own experiences.  Its themes of family, friendship, love, travel, dreams, gratitude, loss, and celebration are shared across cultures and generations.  The invitation is simple: look closely, find a story, and perhaps remember one of your own.

• Limited Edition gallery canvas reproductions (do not need frame) extends to canvas 1.5" sides and are ready to hang.
  
• All reproduction 12"x12" and larger will be numbered and signed by artist and include a certificate of authenticity.
