Artwork #2: Tiny Cabin at Seaside, Original Art | Series 4: Architecture
Seaside, a small coastal resort community on the Florida Panhandle in Walton County, is one of the first communities designed on the principles of New Urbanism. It was designed by Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk and Andres Duany of DPZ and Company, completed in 1985. Elizabeth was the School of Architecture Dean, program director and active professor for the artist, during his college program years at the University of Miami, Coral Gables.
With a unique architectural catalog of structures, inspired by an old-fashioned beach town, the community has an elegance and a unique charm. Artist selected one of his favorite cabins for his art piece. A unique painting collaboration between the artist and his mother, Estela Robles Galiano. Artist was responsible for all architectural elements on the scene, including the float, furniture and fence, while his mother provided him with tutorial for the sky, and with a spatula for the flowers and vegetation.
