Original hand painted art piece, second canvas of the diptych, is a 24” x 24” oil painting portrait of Jerome Vandal. Painted as a birthday gift, the work celebrates his athleticism, his love for the water, and the humor we share in everyday life.

Surrounding the portrait are carefully chosen objects that speak to both playfulness and personal story: a pickleball paddle and ball — nods to his passion for the sport and the energy that keeps him in motion; a buttery croissant — a wink at indulgence and balance (one of his favorite breakfast/brunch with lots of butter!); and a small bottle of Advil — a lighthearted but truthful reminder of the recovery rituals we embrace after long games at our 50+ age. These details add a humorous, human layer to the portrait, grounding the athleticism in daily reality.
